Statement#

rs-web serve --watch 0.4.3 ignores file changes when any folder in the full path is hidden, even a parent outside the project such as ~/.cache. It seems to test the whole path, not only the part inside the project. A site staged under ~/.cache/... therefore never reloads; stage it in a temp folder instead.

Evidence#

rkb, 2026-09-29: the rkb site serve preview staged in the cache folder did not reload. After it moved to the temp folder (rkb commit 0a085f8), a lesson edited on disk made the page open in Chrome reload with the new text, with the real rs-web and the demo knowledge base.
